1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all competitions promoted by Spartan Competitions, a trading name of Barcon Hygiene Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales. By entering any competition on our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.

From time to time, certain competitions may be hosted and fulfilled via Raffall Ltd, an FCA-regulated third-party platform. In these cases, additional Raffall terms will apply as outlined in Section 7.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older at the time of entry.
You must be a permanent resident of the UK or Northern Ireland.
You may be required to provide proof of age, identity, and address.
Employees, contractors, and immediate family of Barcon Hygiene Ltd are not eligible to enter.

3. How to Enter

You can enter competitions via the following methods:

a) Paid Online Entry (Main Site)

Visit: www.spartancompetitions.co.uk
Select an active competition
Purchase one or more tickets
Answer the required skill-based question correctly

b) Free Postal Entry

If the competition is NOT hosted by Raffall, free postal entry instructions are here. If the competition is hosted by Raffall, please use their free postal entry terms. Any postal entries sent to the incorrect address will not apply.

Send your entry by first-class post. Clearly handwrite the following on a plain postcard or letter:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Full UK address
The correct answer to the competition’s skill-based question
The exact name of the competition you are entering

Only one entry per envelope is allowed
Late, incomplete, or illegible entries will not be accepted
Postal entries must arrive before the published closing time
No responsibility is accepted for lost or delayed post

4. Competition Criteria

Each competition will state:

The exact prize
The ticket price
The closing date and time
A skill-based question (as required under the Gambling Act 2005)

Only entries with the correct answer will be eligible for the prize draw.

5. Draw & Winner Selection

All valid entries will be entered into a randomised draw using an independent digital or manual method
In some cases, draws may be live-streamed or recorded for transparency
Winners will be notified within 48 hours via the contact information provided
If a winner does not respond within 7 days, a redraw may occur

6. Prize Fulfilment

All prizes are sent free of charge within 14 working days unless otherwise stated
A cash alternative may be offered solely at the discretion of Spartan Competitions
Winners may be asked to provide a photo or short testimonial with the prize, to be used for promotional purposes (with consent)

7. Minimum Ticket Sales, Raffall Involvement & Cash Alternatives

Spartan Competitions operates under a fair and transparent model to protect both participants and the promoter:

Some competitions may set a minimum number of ticket sales to guarantee the full advertised prize
If the target is not met, Spartan Competitions may offer a cash prize equal to 50% of the total net entry revenue, after payment and marketing fees
This aligns with the widely accepted Raffall fallback model under UK law

Raffall-Hosted Competitions

From time to time, Spartan Competitions may host select competitions via Raffall Ltd, a third-party platform
In these instances, entrants must agree to Raffall’s Terms & Conditions, which include:
- Prizes may revert to 50% cash of net ticket sales if the minimum is not reached
- Entry, winner selection, and prize fulfilment are managed by Raffall’s platform
Raffall is a UK-based, FCA-regulated company and handles all payment processing securely

Competitions hosted by Raffall will be clearly marked on our website and linked accordingly.

8. Refunds & Cancellations

No refunds will be given once an entry is submitted
If a competition is cancelled or cannot proceed, all entrants will receive a full refund
Refunds will be made to the original payment method within 7 working days

9. Disqualification

We reserve the right to disqualify entrants under the following circumstances:

Incorrect or incomplete answers to skill-based questions
Multiple entries in one envelope
Automated entries or bot use
False, misleading, or offensive information
Breach of these terms

10. Liability

Barcon Hygiene Ltd (Trading as Spartan Competitions) shall not be liable for:

Postal delays or lost mail
Technical faults, bugs, or errors on the website or platform
Failure to deliver a prize due to inaccurate contact details
Any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses

We ensure that all competitions are run fairly, securely, and transparently.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and materials on the Spartan Competitions website are the intellectual property of Barcon Hygiene Ltd and must not be copied, reused, or distributed without written permission.

12. Data Protection (UK GDPR)

Your data will be used strictly for processing your entry and contacting you if you win
We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
Your data will never be sold or passed to third parties without your consent
You can request to view or delete your data at any time by emailing info@barconhygiene.com

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
